Qiyuan Green Power Debuts Green Mining 2.0 Globally
Jul 14, 2026 13

Shanghai Qiyuan Green Power Technology Co., a pioneer in new energy commercial vehicle technology and energy services, has introduced its Green Mining 2.0 integrated solution at the Tongli Heavy Industry 2026 "Overseas Customer Festival" global mining expo. The offering marks a strategic move to empower Chinese mining equipment exports with low-carbon energy systems, providing a systematic answer to the question: how to achieve zero-carbon haulage.

At the heart of the solution is a "Wind-Solar-Storage-Charging-Swapping-Transport" six-in-one microgrid. Renewable generation on-site, coupled with energy storage to smooth fluctuations, supports ultra-fast charging and 5‑minute battery swapping—ensuring high fleet availability, a critical factor for mining profitability. Compared to conventional charging, swapping slashes downtime and enables continuous operation, delivering both efficiency and economic returns.

A flagship example is the partnership with Rio Tinto at Mongolia's Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold mine, one of the world's largest. Eight 91‑tonne swap-capable haul trucks, powered by Qiyuan Green Power's 800 kWh batteries and swap station, have been operating for seven months with over 4,000 automated swaps. The fleet has cut CO₂ emissions by more than 1,500 tonnes while boosting daily trips by 14% versus charging-only models.

Beyond hardware, Qiyuan Green Power's AI-driven digital platform—fed by over 230 billion annual data interactions from 1,800+ stations and 3,000+ fleets—optimizes vehicle, station, battery, and grid resources in real time. In Inner Mongolia, a large-scale mine using autonomous trucks with automated swapping has achieved 24/7 operation for two years, consuming 9 million kWh of green electricity annually.

As China's commercial vehicle exports surpass 1.06 million units in 2025, the industry shift is clear: export is no longer about single equipment but fully integrated energy and operations systems. Qiyuan Green Power is advancing a "dual-circle" strategy—domestic R&D and supply chain, paired with overseas local service networks—to deliver turnkey EPC capabilities. Green Mining 2.0 addresses not just equipment electrification but the synergy of energy supply, charging operations, and digital management, laying a robust foundation for Chinese mining solutions worldwide.
